About
About me
I’m Joshua — Senior Software Engineer, thirty, based in the Greater Seattle Area. I’ve built and led across Seattle and Seoul. Personally, I’m bilingual and comfortable in cross-cultural teams. Professionally, I take ownership of systems that have to stay trustworthy under load.

Where I’m from
Seattle is home base. Korea is part of how I learned to lead — years in Seoul building enterprise and mission-critical products left me bilingual and calm in rooms where culture, pace, and risk look different. That dual footing shapes how I run reviews, negotiate scope, and ship with people outside engineering.
The through-line
The through-line in my work is ownership under constraint. I’ve helped products reach more than ten thousand people, cut API latency and deploy time on AI platforms, and modernize systems that could not afford casual downtime. Soft branding aside: I like hard problems with clear accountability.
How I show up
I clarify constraints early, make tradeoffs explicit, and leave systems operable — APIs, monitoring, and rollback paths included. I’ve led groups of ten and partnered with product, research, and business. Open to senior full-time roles and selective freelance where judgment and delivery matter more than slideshow architecture.
